A few notes on copyright and trademark issues. We want to encourage store owners to be vigilant about the property rights of a piece of artwork. If you submit a piece of artwork, then you are the responsible party for that images content. We will do our best to protect your image property, and at the same time we will work with Lawyers/Property holders if they show us that their property is being abused. The Internet has not only made it easy to reach a lot of people, but it has also made it easy for Lawyers to look for property abusers. There are plenty of good ideas out there that are perfectly legal, avoid the ones that will get you in trouble.
As far as filters, each image is checked through automated filters. You may find your image is delayed temporarily if it fails the filter test. It will be checked manually within a couple days, and if it passes it will be released. If an obvious violation is detected, then the design will be deleted by our staff. This is not a perfect system, and we can not check every design, nor do we know every piece of copyrighted work in the world, but we can at least catch the "Mickey Mouse's" and other known copyrighted images. This is to protect you as much as ourselves and the copyright holders.
We do not have the ability to do copyright checks for you, but if your concerned you can typically look up trademarks on the governments TESS system, it is a good place to start:
